Why Your Help is Important
Our Impact
Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation’s life-changing mission is to provide men and women who are blind with its German Shepherd guide dogs, creating increased independence, safety, and mobility for all clients as they pursue their goals and dreams.
Fidelco has bred the German Shepherd working dog for six decades and has trained and placed more than 1,500 guide dogs across North America.
Fidelco is inspired every day by our exceptional clients. They educate, create documentary films, work in business and government, raise families and advocate for those who are visually impaired.
All Fidelco guide dogs are provided to clients at no cost to them thanks to the generosity of donors. Fidelco pioneered In-Community Placement in the United States and trains all clients in the communities where they live and work. Support is provided 24/7 to our clients for the entire working life of their guide dogs typically 10 years.
Fidelco has also placed hundreds of its German Shepherd Dogs with law enforcement agencies, first responders, search and rescue, and missing child recovery organizations to help protect our fellow citizens and keep our communities safe.
